Edwin Hernandez

Chief Executive Officer

As HMBI’s Chief Executive Officer, Edwin has over 20 years of executive leadership experience in the workers’ compensation and managed care industry. Edwin was a crucial part of two successful founding teams before he launched HealthBridge Medical in 2011 with the goal of creatin an exceptional user experience for all the stakeholders, including the claimant, involved on a workers compensation claim. He prides himself on a deep understanding of the complex regulatory environment of the DME and Home Health service lines. Edwin has been instrumental in brand development, revenue growth and streamlining operational processes. He has multi-year relationships with many other key industry executives.

Tedd Thomas

Chief Revenue Officer

As Chief Revenue Officer, Tedd leads one of the fastest growing organizations in the workers compensation industry. With over 25 years of executive experience in workers compensation, he possesses extensive knowledge and understanding of the nuances and subtleties of the medical cost containment process and the impact that we have on improving the health and well-being of injured workers. Prior to his position at HealthBridge, Tedd held leadership roles at OneCall, TechHealth and Genex Services. Tedd earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Political Science from the University of South Florida.

Sherry Bongiovanni

Director of Network Development

Sherry is the Director of Network Development at HealthBridge Medical, where she plays a crucial role in expanding the company’s reach, impact, and strategic partnerships. With a robust history spanning over 16 years in network development, Sherry possesses a unique blend of expertise in creating, negotiating, and fostering significant relationships and partnerships that propel the company’s growth and visibility. Before joining HealthBridge, she held the position of Contract Manager at Optum where she was instrumental in driving organizational success through strategic network development and partnership enhancement. Since stepping into her current role in 2021, Sherry has successfully broadened our network, forging strong partnerships with healthcare providers to ensure our patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care.

Shaunna King

Operations Manager

Shaunna brings over 12 years of dedicated experience to the role of Operations Manager at HealthBridge, where she continues to be pivotal in streamlining operations, enhancing productivity, and ensuring operational excellence across the board. Shaunna has a proven track record of driving efficiency and fostering an environment that supports continuous improvement. Before joining HealthBridge, she worked Optum, where she successfully piloted Provider Relations process implementation and was project lead on redevelopment of existing SOPs. In her current role, Shaunna oversees all facets of day-to-day operations. Shaunna is known for her dynamic leadership and ability to foster strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
